No. The district superintendent cannot delegate this action to anyone else. The system enforces strict role-based verification, meaning the superintendent must be the specific user who logs into the portal and electronically accepts the assurance terms. The active compliance workspace will remain locked for the rest of the district staff until the superintendent personally completes this step.

Per Illinois Administrative Code, each school district is required to annually apply for recognition of its schools by September 30. Additionally, each ROE is required to recommend to ISBE a recognition status for all districts and public schools within its region by October 15. See 23 Ill. Admin. Code 1.20(a).
